The BAK REA „Status Quo“ Report provides regions with a comprehensive overview of their regional strengths and weaknesses in terms of economic performance, location attractiveness and selected focus industries, which are described and analysed in great detail. Allowing for the analysis, recording and communication of the region’s current competitive status, the report forms the perfect basis for taking the first step in a strategic process.

The BAK REA „Status Quo“ Report comprises:

  • an evaluation of the individual economic performance indicators and attractiveness in comparison to 12 other international regions (user-defined) as well as country average and sample average
  • a presentation of the industry profile and individual focus industries
  • a fully formulated strengths and weaknesses profile in comparison to the benchmark sample (performance, economic structure, attractiveness) EXCLUDING opportunities & threats
  • in-depth presentation, classification and discussion of the results in report form (including documentation)

The BAK REA Report „Quo Vadis“ analyses the economic performance, economic structure, location attractiveness and impacts of megatrends on the region. On this basis, a SWOT (strengths & weaknesses, opportunities & threats) analysis is carried out which, in turn, forms the basis for the further development or verification of the regional strategy. Aside from megatrends, knowledge of the sustainability of the regional focus industries, especially the export industries, is a key factor informing the region’s future economic policy direction. Analysis of the export industries’ competitiveness and the relevant megatrends allows for an evaluation of the sustainability of the current economic structure.

The BAK REA Report „Quo Vadis“ comprises:

  • an evaluation of the economic performance, economic structure and location attractiveness in international comparison which allows for a classification of the region’s competitive position in respect of its sustainability
